WELCOME TO OUR WEB SITE
The NSMA is a voluntary international association of microwave radio/wireless and satellite frequency coordinators, licensees, manufacturers and regulators. Established in 1984, the Association provides a forum to develop industry guidelines for efficient use and management of the frequency spectrum by the wireless telecommunications community.

NSMA provides a linkage between government regulations and industry practice by developing recommendations that streamline and standardize procedures used by the frequency coordination community.

The wireless world is changing rapidly. Stay on top of the latest spectrum issues and meet the key players at the National Spectrum Managers Association's
Spectrum Management conferences held annually in May. Earth stations on vessels (ESVs); broadband over power lines (BPL); the land mobile narrow-banding mandate; extended C-band; WiMax; advanced wireless service (AWS)… Spectrum Management 2008 covered it all, and from all angles.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Thank you for visiting the NSMA web site! Our members, though diverse, share one common goal: effective and efficient management of the radio spectrum.

With unprecedented demand for wireless bandwidth, finding new ways to share the spectrum has become vital to the international economy. We hope that you'll join us in promoting open dialog, contributing to rational policy setting, and developing new methods for sharing this limited natural resource.

Please feel free to download our recommendations and access useful spectrum management resources from our web site. Don't forget to consider joining the NSMA as a member, too!

We look forward to having you visit us often.

Andrew W. Clegg, PhD
President - NSMA
